Terms & Conditions
By using our website and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Quote Accuracy and Adjustments
All quotes provided on Sellyouroldvideogames.com are estimates. These estimates are generated based on the information you provide about your items. We rely on your detailed descriptions and submitted photos to offer you the most accurate quote possible.
However, final quotes are subject to change upon physical inspection of your items. Adjustments may occur if:
- Games or systems are missing essential components like wires, power adapters, or battery covers, cases, boxes, or needed components to operate.
- Games are found to be broken, discolored, cracked, or missing pieces.
- Game labels or artwork are torn, damaged, or significantly altered.
2. Agreement and Final Assessment
We will mutually agree upon a quote with you before you ship your items to us. However, please be aware that this agreed-upon quote is still subject to change if the items arrive in a condition that significantly differs from your initial description and our correspondence. This includes items that are found to be broken or damaged beyond what was accurately represented during the quote submission process.
3. Understanding Potential Deductions
The following outlines potential deductions from your final payout, based on the condition of the items we receive. We strive for transparency, and these guidelines help ensure fair evaluations.
Condition-Based Deductions
Significant Cosmetic Wear (5-25% Deduction): We may apply a deduction if items show significant cosmetic wear, such as deep scratches, noticeable dents, excessive scuffs, or extensive discoloration. This applies to damage that noticeably impacts an item’s visual appeal and its ability to be resold.
Missing or Damaged Original Components (5-15% Deduction): A deduction may be applied if original packaging, manuals, or inserts are missing or significantly damaged. These elements contribute to an item’s collectible value, and their absence or poor condition affects resale.
Disc Condition (5-20% Deduction): For disc-based games, a deduction may be applied for discs with excessive scratching, deep gouges, or other damage. Such damage can compromise playability or necessitate professional resurfacing before resale.
Internal Component Issues (Up to 50% or Rejection): Items with undisclosed internal component issues may incur significant deductions, or even be rejected entirely. This includes problems like unresponsive buttons, faulty ports, or intermittent connectivity that affect an item’s core functionality.
Missing or Third-Party Accessories (Up to 10% Deduction): A 10% deduction may be applied if any wires or accessories are missing or are third-party (non-original) and were not accounted for in your initial quote.
Unacceptable Items (100% Deduction): We will not purchase items that are found to be broken, counterfeit, modified (modded), or from an incorrect region. These items will result in a 100% deduction from your quoted amount for those specific items.
